Synopsis:
The story begins on the "HMS Ascendant" an 18th century Royal Navy warship on the North Atlantic Ocean. As Captain Solomon Christians crew disappears around him, he tries desperately to keep his dissolving crew together to complete the mission.
The "CCGS Arctic Wolf" is a 21rst century icebreaker which accidentally stumbles on the HMS Ascendant while waiting out a massive pressure ridge. They think they have found the find of the new century until they realize why this 244-year-old eighteenth century warship was deliberately sailed into Arctic waters and abandoned. Captain JP LeCroix and his crew discover that they have only one option open to them complete the mission the Ascendants crew started.
