To what extent do unsigned writers see the culture of agency as the absolute cancelling out of their dreams and hopes?
Clearly there is a need for subjective, professional comment to filter and temper the quality of literature (in all its forms) but in the UK and London especially that has become something quite distasteful.
The arrogance and pomposity of the professional communty; the clique effectively, is as off-putting and objectionable as any industry I have ever worked in.
In the face of this I would look at forums like this one to start seeking and establishing their own publishing brands, possibly linking up with other similar on-line communities.
All that's really missing is an appropriately professional medium to output the works into hard copy... and then the serious business of exposure and distribution of course.
Befoe you ask, I have no such facility, but in the next few months it is my intention to develop one.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Passion seems to be your forte', as a new writter I am thrilled to discover any type of insights within this industry, which, for you seem to tip the scales toward the negitive. If I may be so bold in my perhaps nieve way to insert that; going into this business of writting, was for me something that I "had" to do. There was no choice, I had to get my stories on paper, with the risk of having my ideas crushed or worse ignorned, it just seems to me that our responses to dificulty is what make the experience good or bad and not the notion that the risk of putting our souls "out there" would be riddled with money grabing and rude behavior, it just seems that type of activity would be expected, and should be a no brainer to compensate for it. I'm sure that your experiences were note worthy, I for one will just keep a positive attiude both spirtually and mentaly so that whatever I may encounter, the outcome will be richer for it. Remember it is all how YOU look at it and respond to it.....just a thought. P.S good luck with your publishing house, honesty and integrity is what I desire most. Thanks, Shade
