Hey guys. I have several feature length scripts on which I could use feedback. They're all fully copyrighted and registered. If you would be willing to give one a read, please contact me and I'll fire it off to you via email. Thank you.
Logline: Misery meets Ransom crossed with Chinatown and Falling Down.
"DIFFERENT WAYS TO SAY I LOVE YOU"-A high tension drama/crime/action piece.
One year after his household falls apart following a home invasion, Jerry seeks revenge via a campaign of systematic kidnapping and murder. He doesn't count on meeting resistance in the resilience of Joseph, a middle aged private investigator and Anna, a caring sister.
The 90 page script is an example of the ambiguity of justice tempered with the reality of love and hope of grace. It would appeal to all adult age grouUps and a wide variety of audiences.
------------------------
Logline: Mad Max and Temple of Doom crossed with the Magnificent Seven.
"HARRIERS"-A science fiction/adventure thriller.
After the sinister 'harriers' attack his city and take his family prisoner, Steven engages in a race against time to save them. One man against a nation, saving them will require more than his wits and brute force.
The 92 page script is a tale of one against many. The ferocious harriers are a formidable and frightening prospect that should touch at the senses of the audience. The sacrifice, tenacity, and devotion felt by Steven toward rescuing his family would also appeal to many audiences.
----------------------------------------
Logline: Get Shorty meets Goonies. A vapid starlet finds herself at the center of a combination of mobsters, talent agents, and a household of youth.
"STARLET"-A unique comedy with heart.
Tara is an incredibly vapid starlet. Darryl, her egomaniacal agent, hides her out in the mountains of Montana and is about to release her on the world. However, when mobsters come to collect a debt, the plans go awry and she ends up with the Skinner family farm. What will happen when the mobsters come looking for her?
A wonderful melding of mobsters and children. This 100 page script has heart and will make you smile. However, it also has mafia henchman who are doing a job. It would appeal to many audiences due to its subject matter. A unique work, to be sure.
-------------------------------------------------------
Logline: Waiting for Guffman meets Slapshots. A civil rights attorney starts a left handed polo league and experiences how it feels to be a misfit.
"RIGHT HAND SNAILS": A character driven comedy with dramatic elements.
--
Upon learning that left handed play is banned in polo, Tyler Herndon, a civil rights attorney and horse lover, starts his own league for southpaws. Along the way, he realizes love and meets some rather unexpected resistance.
--
The work is 101 pages and is a classic pitting of an underdog against the status quo. The comedy is derived from the hilarious incidents that arise due to the different personalities that are brought together and how they deal with adversity. The light moments are mixed with times of drama that gives the story earnest heart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Logline: Better Off Dead meets Being John Malkovich. Friends' lives are changed when they spend their spring break as human guinea pigs.
"GUINEA PIGS"-A uniquely hilarious, character-driven comedy.
--
Chris, Ashley, and Scott, three friends at Arizona State, participate in a laboratory study, where they are interned over their spring break. While inside the lab, each meets a series of interesting personalities and undergo different situations that end up re-shaping their lives beyond the time of the study.
--
The work is 95 pages in length and would appeal to a young adult audience. The intense comedy is derived from a combination of the events and people that each encounters in the lab. Additionally, due to the subject matter, Guinea Pigs could be produced at a relatively low cost.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Logline: Separated from his love, a man is tempted by the return of a former interest.
"RETURN OF THE EX-GIRLFRIEND"-A feature length character driven drama with comedic elements.
--
Nate is happy romantically, involved in a long distance relationship. Fate is twisted when his ex-girlfriend returns, complete with the baggage that caused her to previously turn him into a heartbroken wretch. Everybody he cares about; friends, family, his conscience, disapproves, telling him, basically, to 'run away, fast and in the opposite direction'. Yet his heart thinks differently. The resulting conflict threatens to destroy him, mentally and physically.
--
The 86 page screenplay concerns a love triangle that would be relatable for many. There is humor at times, mixed nicely with drama. Due to its accessability, the subject matter would appeal to a wide array of demographics. Due to its minimal locations, it could be produced at a relatively low cost.
--
Logline: A young misfit struggles to find her life’s path in a small Canadian town.
“WEIRDALE”-A character driven coming of age drama/comedy.
--
Misty lives in the town of Weirdale, Saskatchewan. Her friends are misfits, just like her. As a result, they are on the proverbial outside looking in of an uncaring town. When Jim moves in next door, he gives Misty the conduit she needs to find her path. She finds a soulmate whose friendship surpasses the town and gives her the ability to overcome the obstacles that are Weirdale.
--
The 99 page coming of age screenplay is one that many will be able to relate to. The turmoil between innocence and maturity. An awesome story that, due to the subject matter, could be made for a rather low budget. The conflict inherent in everyone’s growing up, as well as triumph over adversity, is present here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Logline: A mature version of Left Behind.
"CHRISTIAN'S PEACE" - A dramatic/action oriented, character-driven Christian script with a driving, faith based soundtrack.
--
Halfway through the tribulation, Christian Lawless and her friends learn about and accept Christ's Grace and Salvation. Soon after, they're on the run, the mark of the beast becoming mandatory. Tragedy strikes, leaving Christian on her own. God intervenes and Christian fulfils her purpose in His plan, proving that He works in mysterious ways.
--
The work is 100 pages in length and would appeal to a young adult audience, both as a secular and spiritual entity. There is some humor to break up the serious subject matter. This is a screenplay that paints a bleak picture that is the world post rapture. The characters struggle to survive, forwarding the Gospel as they do so. The material is very dark, yet with hope abounding throughout.
----------------------------------------------------------
Logline: Absuridity abounds in the wake of a storm as a couple debates what is really important.
"TORNADO"-A comedy short.
--
A couple finds themselves in the path of a tornado. While taking shelter, they are distracted by their material possessions.
--
The script is ten pages in length and would be extremely inexpensive to film. The comedy is physical at times, ludicrous at others. The film would appeal to a wide variety of demographics.
